| 1981 Mugen ME125 Photo 1 |
| 1981 Mugens were raced in the 1981 GP's as part of a factory Honda effort. Honda didn't supply the Europeans with factory RC125's, so they bought Mugens and passed them off as Hondas. That explains why all Mugens from Europe are red and always had Honda stickers. Dutch rider Henk Seppenwoolde finished the year in 4th place against the very famous Suzuki and Yamaha factory teams. The bike shares very few production parts with the production CR with the exception of the hubs and bottom end. With the air inducted gas tank it shoots air directly into the radiators -- very exotic. This bike is one of only 5 known to exist. |
